Cultura organizacional en el contexto educativo: Una revisión sistemática

Abstract

Introduction: Organizational culture constitutes a fundamental element for understanding the internal functioning of educational institutions due to its influence on leadership, communication, institutional climate, job satisfaction, and the performance of educational stakeholders. Objective: To analyze organizational culture in educational contexts by considering the factors that shape it, associated strategies, institutional relevance, and the main findings reported in recent scientific literature. Methodology: A systematic literature review was conducted following the general PRISMA guidelines. The search was performed in the Scopus and SciELO databases, considering publications in Spanish and English between 2022 and 2026. A total of 1,878 records were initially identified, and after the selection process, 30 studies were included for qualitative analysis. Results: The findings showed that leadership, internal communication, institutional participation, trust, knowledge management, and adaptive capacity are recurrent factors in the construction of organizational culture within educational institutions. Likewise, strategies related to organizational learning, collective reflection, institutional evaluation, and professional development were identified. The evidence indicates that a strong organizational culture is associated with higher levels of commitment, job satisfaction, performance, and institutional effectiveness. Conclusions: Educational organizational culture is a dynamic, contextual, and strategic phenomenon that influences institutional management. Strengthening it requires the promotion of participatory leadership, effective communication, and continuous organizational learning processes aimed at educational improvement and innovation.
