Estrategia educativa para la promoción de la convivencia escolar

Abstract

The purpose of the present study is to present the research project carried out in the A branch of an official Educational Institution of the municipality of Bucaramanga, Santander department: “Educational Strategy for the Promotion of School Coexistence”, based on the methodological design: qualitative approach, phenomenological method and descriptive scope; from the systematization of theoretical references on school coexistence; the description and analysis of perceptions on school coexistence through the application of instruments: questionnaire to 24 students (student representatives, comptroller, ombudsman and school coexistence managers) and focus group to 7 teachers, group directors and 8 members of the school coexistence committee; and the elaboration of a didactic sequence with a socio-formative approach for school mediation among peers (students), consisting of 4 lesson plans on conflict, conflict resolution, school mediation and transforming leadership. Data analysis was performed through SPSS 27 software and discussions were based on methodological triangulation (categories, instruments and theory). The research identified the need to strengthen training in values and social skills for school coexistence, the importance of the participation of the educational community in the promotion of a healthy and peaceful school coexistence and considered that the didactic sequence is a useful tool to implement an educational strategy of school mediation among peers (students) in the prevention of the escalation of school conflict.
