Design and Development of Web-Based Digital Product Marketplace Using Seller-Based Approach

Aug 2026 · bit-Tech · 0 citations

Abstract

Escalating internet usage has significantly boosted creative economy activities through marketplace platforms. However, most popular Indonesian commerce platforms adopt architectures centered on physical product supply chains. This structural limitation marginalizes digital product creators, hindering their ability to build brand reputation in a competitive market. This research aims to develop a web-based digital product marketplace using a seller-based approach, explicitly prioritizing creator identity, storefront profile autonomy, independent product management, and seller visibility as an alternative to current ecosystems. The system employs the Waterfall Model, utilizing the Cause-Effect-Solution (CES) framework for initial requirement analysis, Unified Modeling Language (UML) for architectural design, and Laravel/React with Midtrans integration for secure implementation. The result is a digital marketplace interface specifically designed to highlight the selling entity while maintaining full creator autonomy over their work. System validation via Black-Box Testing achieved a 100% execution success rate, while the User Acceptance Test (UAT) recorded an 86.5% feasibility level, classifying it as highly feasible. Additionally, Load Testing demonstrated server robustness by processing 300 concurrent virtual users with a 0% error rate. In conclusion, these results demonstrate solid prototype feasibility and technical stability under simulated conditions, providing a reliable web architecture to structurally support creator identity autonomy in the creative economy.
