Abstract

Ihis article analyzes the scholarly and spiritual foundations of deradicalization in reintegrating individuals influenced by radical views and extremist ideas into society. It highlights the significance of Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf’s works, including Tafsir Hilal, Open Letter, Disagreements, Their Causes and Solutions, Spiritual Education, and Wasatiyyah – The Way of Life, in preventing and overcoming radicalization. The study examines three stages of deradicalization: ideological transformation, psychological rehabilitation, and social adaptation, while analyzing the influence of religious illiteracy, unreliable sources, and rejection of madhhabs on radicalization. It also considers Uzbekistan’s experience with the “Mehr” operations and social reintegration, emphasizing sound religious knowledge and spiritual education as important means of transforming individuals’ worldviews and preventing radicalization.
