Application of Multi-Protocol Converged Short-Range IoT Communication System in Power Safety Monitoring
Abstract
Short-range, high-density sensor networks are challenged by poor transmission performance in power safety monitoring applications because they use a single communication protocol. The paper suggests a multi-protocol fusion short-range IoT communication system. It combines Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and ZigBee protocols through a layered intelligent fusion architecture. The terminal is equipped with a dynamic protocol switching engine that operates on a dual-core CPU to provide adaptive link selection according to channel status and service requirements. It also uses a cross-protocol unified authentication and resource scheduling mechanism. Experimental findings indicate that the system has a transmission success rate of 99.69 or more in both indoor and outdoor substation conditions, and end-to-end latency is regulated to 42.3ms to 113.5ms. This successfully addresses the performance constraints of individual protocols in the presence of interference and distance, and offers very reliable and low-latency communication services to power equipment safety monitoring.
