Abstract

Highlights • Ultrasonography-guided fine-needle aspiration achieves a higher specimen acquisition rate.• Ultrasonography-guided and endoscopic ultrasonography-guided fine-needle aspiration have similar diagnostic accuracy for pancreatic malignancy.• No significant differences are observed in race, lesion size, location between groups, repeat biopsy rates and complications.
