Abstract

This Correction refers to: Gharib AF, Alkhamash GE, Alsharif HN, Hassan AF, Ramadan KA, Alrehaili AA, Bakhuraysah MM, Alharthi FMA, Omran OM, Marzouk UM. (2025). Relationship between Serum Vitamin D Deficiency and Hormonal Imbalance in Obese Female Patients with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. Advancements in Life Sciences, 12(4). https://doi.org/10.62940/als.v12i4.3855Following a post-publication editorial quality review, the Editorial Office identified citation mismatches in the above article. The authors reviewed the identified references and confirmed the required corrections. These corrections involve only the supporting citations and interpretation of the cited statements and do not affect the study dataset, numerical results, tables, figures, statistical analyses, or the overall conclusions of the study.Reference correctionsRef. [22] The original citation did not accurately support the statement regarding an England study reporting no significant difference in vitamin D status among adult females. The cited study population and location were inconsistent with the statement. The reference has been replaced with a more appropriate study by Li et al. (2011), which examines vitamin D deficiency and metabolic risk factors in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome.Ref. [25] The statement associated with this reference has been revised for accuracy. The original reference primarily investigated vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphisms rather than being designed as a clinical comparison study. However, the study included Saudi women with PCOS and healthy controls and reported serum vitamin D measurements between groups. The citation has therefore been retained with clarification of its appropriate context.Ref. [28] The original citation did not accurately support the statement regarding a statistically significant increase in testosterone levels in PCOS compared with control groups, as the cited study was a case report rather than a controlled cohort study. The reference has been replaced with a more appropriate study by Hussein and Karami (2023), which examines the association between insulin resistance and abnormal menstrual cycles in Saudi females with PCOS.Corrected referencesRef. [22]. Li HW, Brereton RE, Anderson RA, Wallace AM, Ho CK. Vitamin D deficiency is common and associated with metabolic risk factors in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome. Metabolism. (2011);60(10):14751481.Ref. [28]. Hussein K, Karami M. Association between insulin resistance and abnormal menstrual cycle in Saudi females with polycystic ovary syndrome. Saudi Pharmaceutical Journal. (2023);31(6):11041108.These corrections are limited to reference accuracy and citation support and do not affect the studys data, results, statistical outcomes, or conclusions.Correction Published03 October 2026: The necessary corrections have been carried out in the Version of Record.

The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.
