Abstract

The widespread use of digital technologies necessitates effective and secure voting systems. However, traditional and contemporary voting systems experience significant limitations, including identity theft, lack of transparency, and vulnerability to manipulation. This paper introduces an e-voting system that integrates artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, and fingerprint biometrics to address these challenges. Fingerprint recognition ensures effective user identification while preventing impersonation and identity theft. Blockchain technology enables transparent vote storage through non-editable, immutable transactions in a distributed ledger. Artificial intelligence identifies suspicious activities, such as multiple login attempts and anomalous voting patterns. The system employs React Native for mobile-first development, Django for backend processing, and Ethereum-based smart contracts for secure voting management. Decentralised data storage combined with biometric voter identification provides end-to-end security, significantly reducing vote fraud and manipulation risks. Smart contracts ensure transparency and reliability by eliminating manual intervention while enforcing voting rules. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system outperforms existing electronic voting systems in reliability and speed.
