Study on the effect of adjustment parameters on the performance of a gasoline engine running on LPG
Abstract
This study concerns the influence of adjustment parameters (ignition advance angle θ and quality of the fuel mixture λ) on the performance of a spark ignition engine running on liquefied petroleum gas. It was performed at a rotation frequency of two thousand revolutions per minute and a different load, which is determined by the throttle position. The optimal values of θ and λ are determined by measuring the corresponding control characteristics. The study is accompanied by the registration of indicator diagrams, which allows for a more accurate determination of the optimal values of the adjustment parameters. The results are presented graphically and are accompanied by the relevant conclusions.
