Web-Based Intelligent Translation Tools and OBE-Driven Quality Evaluation System for Korean Translation Talents
Abstract
Web-based and digital technologies have transformed translation education. Inspired by outcome-based education, this study develops a quality evaluation system for Korean translation's ability to bridge the gap between traditional assessment and professional competence. The framework includes six core dimensions—bilingual translation, intelligent tool use, terminology management, technical collaboration, project delivery, and cross-cultural professionalism—supported by multisource evidence including computer-assisted translation platform logs, practical training, and internship reviews. A closed-loop mechanism with staged diagnosis, multiparty evaluation, and early warning enables monitoring of the complete training process. Simulation results demonstrate that the system outperforms traditional assessment in evidence coverage, consistency, problem identification, and improvement efficiency. It offers a web-based evaluation solution to strengthen practical and technical skills for translation learners.
