Humans are very much influenced by their surroundings. Literature acts as a mirror. It reflects the values and inequalities which shapes and transforms the society. These inequalities shape the society. The most discussed explorations are the relation between gender and society. Feminist writers have debated that writing is not a just medium to explore their space to explore their love for writing and reading but an ideological space where power relations, patriarchal structures, and social identities are negotiated and contested. Literature has questioned gender equality, identity crisis, resistance from the suppressed and this paper holds such discussions.
