Challenges and directions for modernization of the educational system in the Republic of Moldova in the context of contemporary transformations

Abstract

The study analyzes the role of educational management in the development and efficiency of the education sector, highlighting several essential dimensions for its functioning and modernization, such as improving the regulatory framework, simplifying administrative processes, strengthening human resources, ensuring adequate funding, and integrating digital technologies into the educational process. The research examines recent educational policies, initiatives aimed at the digitalization of education, and curriculum modernization programs, as well as their impact on the development of students’ and teachers’ competencies. In addition, statistical data and relevant indicators regarding the recent evolution of the education system are presented, revealing development trends within the education sector, including the expansion of educational technologies, increased investments in educational infrastructure, and the strengthening of international cooperation in education. The results of the analysis demonstrate that the modernization of the education system represents a complex process that requires the implementation of coherent educational policies aimed at improving the quality of education and adapting it to the requirements of a knowledge-based society.
