The Importance of an Individual Approach in Ensuring Equality in the Higher Education System
Abstract
The article examines the problem of learning personalization in higher education as one of the key directions in the transformation of modern pedagogical practices. Theoretical distinctions between the concepts of differentiation, individualization, and personalization are analyzed, which allows for clarifying their functional and methodological characteristics. Personalization is interpreted as a systemic pedagogical principle aimed at ensuring educational equity in the context of increasing heterogeneity of the student population. The author proposes a model of learning personalization, which includes content, procedural, and evaluative-reflective components, as well as institutional, program-course, and individual levels of implementation. The mechanisms of the model’s functioning are revealed, including adaptive, variability-based, reflective, and digital mechanisms. It is concluded that, when implemented systematically, learning personalization can serve as an effective tool for enhancing educational equity and improving the effectiveness of the higher education process.
