Abstract

This paper proposes a compact dual-port in-band full-duplex slot antenna operating in the 5G NR n260 band (37-40 GHz). According to the offset feeding and dual dumbbell-shaped defected ground structure (DGS), the coupling between the two ports is effectively suppressed by DGS design with destructive interference. The simulation results are shown that the proposed antenna achieves approximately 70 dB isolation at 38 GHz with good input impedance matching. In addition, the antenna is provided a maximum gain of 6.1 dBi and a total efficiency above 90% at 40 GHz. The antenna design is provided broadband and high-isolation features for the millimeter-wave (MMW) front-end module and full-duplex system integration.
