Strengthening Digital Banking Infrastructure Through Secure API Integration, Automation, and Reliable Enterprise Application Management Practices

Sep 2026 · International Journal of Research Publication and Reviews · 0 citations

Abstract

Digital banking has evolved into a highly interconnected technology ecosystem in which customer channels, payment platforms, core banking systems, cloud services, databases, and external financial networks depend on continuous and secure information exchange. This growing interdependence increases operational complexity and exposes institutions to integration failures, security vulnerabilities, inconsistent application behaviour, and service disruption. This study examines how secure API integration, intelligent automation, and reliable enterprise application management can be combined to strengthen digital banking infrastructure. The approach emphasizes standardized API connectivity, authentication and authorization controls, encrypted communication, continuous monitoring, automated workflow execution, configuration governance, dependency management, and proactive application reliability practices. Particular attention is given to using operational telemetry and automated controls to identify integration anomalies, configuration deviations, performance degradation, and emerging service risks before they develop into customer-impacting failures. By connecting API security with automation and application reliability, the proposed approach reduces fragmented operational management and supports coordinated preventive intervention. The study establishes an integrated foundation for improving interoperability, transaction continuity, security assurance, operational resilience, and scalable digital banking service delivery.
