DEVELOPMENT OF A BI PROTOTYPE FOR MANAGEMENT DECISION SUPPORT BASED ON SYNTHETIC DATA
Abstract
The article examines the use of business intelligence technologies for management decision support in a hypothetical commercial organization. Financial and operational indicators of five divisions are integrated into a common information model. To validate the design, a twelve-month synthetic dataset was created and a star-schema model was built. The calculations cover revenue plan fulfillment, cost variance, profitability, productivity, and categorical risk assessment. Scenario testing showed that the prototype identifies problem divisions and supports a transition from aggregate values to the causes of deviations.
