Abstract

This article examines paired words as one of the key lexical dominants of the poetic language of P. A. Oyunsky, the founder of Yakut Soviet literature.    The aim of the study  is to identify the structural and semantic features and functional specificity of paired words in the poet's idiostyle.    Objectives of the study:  to determine the corpus of paired words in the poetic texts of P. A. Oyunsky (based on the first volume of his collected works, covering poems from 1917–1937); to develop and apply a comprehensive approach to the analysis of paired words that combines structural typology, semantic classification, and functional analysis; to establish the main structural types of paired words presented in the author’s poetic language; to identify lexical and semantic groups of paired words relevant to Oyunsky’s poetic discourse; to characterize the functions of paired words in poetic texts (rhythm-organizing, emotional-expressive, figurative) in their connection with folklore tradition and individual authorial transformations.    Based on the first volume of the poet's collected works (poems from 1917–1937), approximately 600 paired units, distributed among various parts of speech, are documented. A comprehensive approach to the study of paired words is proposed, combining structural, semantic, and functional aspects. Lexical-semantic groups of paired words and their structural types are identified. It is demonstrated that paired words in Oyunsky's poetry perform rhythm-organizing, emotionally expressive, and figurative functions, tracing back to folklore tradition while simultaneously shaping the author's individual style.
