Pentecostal Spiritual Hermeneutics
Abstract
This article proposes a reframing of Pentecostal spiritual hermeneutics by integrating Jewish exegetical frameworks such as PaRDeS, Inyan , and Bechinos . In the Indonesian context, the practice of dirohanikan – often critiqued as subjective – is re-examined through a comparative theological lens. This study argues that such assessments frequently overlook the internal coherence of Spirit-led interpretation. By employing these Jewish categories as analytical tools, the author develops a ‘Pentecostal Transformative Hermeneutics’ that formalises the layered and transformative nature of Scripture as mediated by the Holy Spirit. This approach highlights Indonesian Pentecostalism as a vital contributor to global theological discourse.
