Artificial intelligence and person-centered education
Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) currently occupies a central place in the debate on the use of technology within person-centered educational ecosystems. Its capacity to manage information and support complex cognitive tasks calls for a critical evaluation of its integration into contexts whose purpose is formative rather than merely instrumental. This article proposes a conceptual framework for such integration, grounded in a robust understanding of human nature, the ambivalent power of technique, and the role of justice and friendship in Aristotle, together with the virtue ethics developed by the philosopher Alasdair MacIntyre.
