Optimalisasi Disiplin Kerja Pegawai Dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Pelayanan Publik Pada Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Yahukimo
Abstract
Employee work discipline plays a strategic role in ensuring that public services are delivered effectively, efficiently, and professionally. This study aims to analyze the optimization of employee work discipline in improving the quality of public services at the Department of Transportation of Yahukimo Regency. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and field studies involving key informants selected purposively. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that employee discipline has generally been implemented adequately through compliance with organizational regulations, effective utilization of working hours, responsibility in carrying out duties, and employee attendance. However, several obstacles remain, including limited human resources, excessive workloads, multiple job assignments, inadequate supporting facilities, and geographical constraints that affect service delivery.
