Sistem Presensi Pegawai Berbasis Face Recognition

Abstract

This research focuses on developing a system that supports face-recognition-based employee attendance as a solution to improve accuracy, efficiency, and security in attendance recording. The system consists of two types of users: Employees and Admins. The developed system provides main features such as registration, login, profile management, clock-in and clock-out attendance through facial verification, and logout for employees, as well as data management and reporting for admins. The registration process is carried out by activating the camera and capturing a photo (via smartphone or webcam), while attendance verification uses face recognition technology to compare the facial match with the data in the database. Test results show that all main functions, including login and both clock-in and clock-out attendance, work as designed. In addition, the admin features function optimally in managing employee data and generating daily, monthly, yearly, and overall attendance reports in PDF and Excel formats. The system can be accessed via smartphone or computer, supporting flexibility in usage. Face recognition technology is used as the primary authentication method to ensure valid attendance and prevent fraud, making the system an effective and relevant digital solution for institutions and companies.
