Abstract

This article presents a comparative study of the axiological verbalization of the concept of “generosity” in Russian and Uzbek linguocultures based on paremiological units. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that generosity, as a universal human value, is manifested in distinctive ways in the national worldview, moral norms, and social relations of different peoples. The study aims to identify the main semantic and axiological components that constitute the concept of generosity in Russian and Uzbek paremias and to compare their shared and national-cultural characteristics. The research employs semantic, componential, comparative, linguocultural, and axiological methods of analysis. The findings indicate that generosity is predominantly evaluated as a positive value in both linguocultures.
