Pembiasaan Shalat Berjamaah dalam Membentuk Disiplin dan Nilai Keislaman Siswa di SD Muhammadiyah Gunung Lagan
Abstract
This study aims to deeply analyze the implementation of congregational prayer habituation, its contribution to forming disciplined character and instilling Islamic values in students, and to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors at SD Muhammadiyah Gunung Lagan, Gunung Meriah District, Aceh Singkil Regency. This study utilizes a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through direct observation techniques, in-depth interviews with the school principal, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers, classroom teachers, and students, and reinforced by documentation studies. The research results indicate that the implementation of congregational prayer habituation (Dhuha and Zuhr prayers) has been systematically programmed through the integration of the specific additional Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan curriculum. This habituation contributes significantly to shaping student discipline, which is clearly visible in the aspects of punctuality, row orderliness (shaf), and full obedience to school rules and regulations. Furthermore, this routine activity is proven effective in internalizing crucial Islamic values, such as improving the quality of piety, independent worship awareness, moral responsibility, and a sense of social solidarity among students. The primary supporting factors include structured school policies, consistent role-modeling from educators, and active supervision by teachers. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors involve the limitations of worship facilities' infrastructure and variations in the religiosity backgrounds of students' families at home. This study concludes that consistent habituation of congregational prayer can foster a religious, character-driven, and highly disciplined school ecosystem. It is recommended that the school continuously improve worship facilities and strengthen collaborative synergy with parents to optimize the continuity of this positive habituation within the home environment.
