Quale normalità? Note intorno a lavoro, sofferenza e soggettività

Abstract

The present contribution seeks to analyze the “enigma of normality” in the work context, highlighting its heuristic value in reflecting on the various elements that compose the subjective experience of work. Starting from Christophe Dejours’s psychodynamics of work, the article proposes an examination of the profound effects that work organization exerts on subjectivity. Against this background, normality ceases to be understood as a spontaneous condition and is instead investigated as the outcome of a constant struggle by subjects against suffering. The aim is to demonstrate that only through an analysis of normality is it possible to restore to work its real complexity and a philosophical and political dignity that is too often denied.
