Beyond English File

Abstract

The textbook “Beyond English File” is designed as a supplementary resource to the English File Upper-Intermediate course and targets Russian-speaking learners with an Upper-Intermediate (B2 CEFR) level of English profi ciency. The main aim of the handbook is to systematize and deepen learners’ knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary, while developing key communicative competence. Particular emphasis is placed on vocabulary expansion, enhancing the ability to comprehend and actively use language in a variety of communicative situations. The textbook consists of ten units integrating grammar and vocabulary with communicative tasks. Each unit provides detailed explanation and a wide range of exercises intended to reinforce and apply the material in practice. The handbook serves as a reliable tool for both classroom instruction and self-study, supporting learners in achieving advanced language profi ciency and preparing them for academic and professional communication.
