Abstract

Translation is the process of transferring meaning or speech from one language to another. The translator uses his linguistic and cultural knowledge to convey the meaning of the utterance as accurately and naturally as possible. Translation can be oral or written, and professional translators often specialize in identification or types of texts. Translation requires not only a good command of languages, but also an understanding of the cultural background and context in which the source text is being used. The goal of translation is to translate the meaning and intent of the original text, not just literally translate each word. The translator must take into account differences in grammar, vocabulary, style and cultural nuances between languages. Bilingualism has many benefits. It expands the communication capabilities of a person, it uses communication with big people and will be needed in different cultures. Bilinguals can also have an advantage in the labor market as they speak multiple languages that are valued in many professions. The article discusses the causes of interference in the process of learning a non-native language, demonstrates some common and distinguishing features of bilingualism and translation in a justified form. When talking about the need to compare native and non-native language samples, it is noted that in bilingualism this technique fulfills a purely theoretical task. In translation, comparison is used for practical purposes. The main goal of this article is to determine the reason for interference in the speech of students studying the national language. In this regard, methods of preventing interference in bilingual speech and translation process are mentioned. In general, translation and bilingualism are important competencies in a global context, and their development can bring many benefits for both individuals and society as a whole.
