Abordagem interdisciplinar na prevenção e tratamento da obesidade infantil: integração entre atividade física, enfermagem e nutrição.
Abstract
Childhood obesity constitutes a major global public health issue, characterized by the excessive accumulation of body fat, with physical and psychosocial repercussions. This study aimed to investigate how the integration among Nursing, Nutrition, and Physical Education contributes to the prevention and treatment of this condition. It is a qualitative integrative literature review conducted in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) database. The search included articles published between 2017 and 2025, using descriptors combined with Boolean operators. The results showed that childhood obesity is multifactorial, being associated with the nutritional transition, sedentary lifestyle, and family habits. Interdisciplinary and multicomponent interventions were found to be more effective than isolated approaches, as they enable more comprehensive and humanized care. In this context, Nutrition acts in dietary re-education, Physical Education contributes to increased energy expenditure and reduced sedentary behavior, and Nursing stands out as the coordinating axis of care, promoting continuous monitoring, early risk identification, and strengthening bonds with families. It is concluded that the integrated work of these fields enhances therapeutic outcomes, promoting the adoption of healthy habits and improving children's quality of life.
