ENGINEERING ANALYSIS OF MODERN SOLUTIONS IN ARCHITECTURAL AND CONSTRUCTION DESIGN
Abstract
The architectural and construction design process is multifaceted and requires in-depth analysis of a wide range of parameters. Key aspects include ensuring structural reliability, functional feasibility, environmental safety, energy efficiency, and compliance with applicable regulations. In the context of global trends and accelerated technological development, the need for innovative methodologies aimed at improving the quality of design solutions and optimizing their implementation timelines is becoming increasingly urgent.A literature review of engineering analysis of modern architectural and construction design solutions was conducted. The works of Gao D., Muthumanickam N. K., Klarin A., and others are considered. The authors conclude that modern building design has evolved into a complex, multi-criteria problem where technical, economic, and environmental requirements often conflict. Achieving high efficiency requires a transition from traditional methods to multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO) systems and the implementation of intelligent algorithms. It was found that despite the availability of advanced engineering solutions and software, the construction sector exhibits a slow pace of innovation adoption. The main barriers include project participant attitudes, a lack of trust between stakeholders, and the absence of common metrics for evaluating the effectiveness of engineering proposals in the early stages. It was also established that current digital platforms and building information modeling (BIM) technologies often face data fragmentation and interoperability issues at the intersection of architectural and engineering solutions. Methods and techniques for decision analysis in architectural and construction building design are presented. This paper identifies key research areas for the implementation of digital technologies, which have significantly expanded the scope of optimization methods in architectural and construction design. Modern digital platforms provide tools for the effective use of parametric models and optimization algorithms, thereby improving the quality of design decisions.
