PENGUATAN LITERASI STEM DAN KEDIRGANTARAAN MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN TEKNOLOGI EDUKATIF DI MADRASAH ALIYAH SAHID BOGOR
Abstract
The limited implementation of contextual and hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics learning in Islamic boarding school environments requires an educational approach that can connect classroom theory with real technological applications. This community service program aimed to strengthen students’ Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics literacy and introduce aerospace-related learning through educational technology at Madrasah Aliyah Sahid Bogor. The activity was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Modern Sahid Bogor on May 21, 2026, involving 43 students and 15 teachers. The program consisted of introductory learning sessions, teacher observation, group-based practical activities, worksheets, pre-test and post-test assessments, and satisfaction questionnaires. Six practical modules were implemented, namely Outdoor Hand Launch Glider, rubber-powered aircraft, wind power generation, solar power generation, smoke detector, and line-following robot. The results showed an increase in students’ understanding, indicated by the improvement of the average score from 81.81 in the pre-test to 88.86 in the post-test, with an N-Gain value of 0.3875 in the moderate category. Student satisfaction scores ranged from 4.33 to 4.81, while teacher responses ranged from 4.62 to 4.92 on a five-point scale. These findings indicate that educational technology-based practical learning can improve students’ conceptual understanding, learning motivation, collaboration, and interest in science and technology. The program also provided teachers with practical references for implementing project-based Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics learning independently.
