Abstract

This study develops a defense-oriented framework for infrastructure-aware c5i service orchestration across tactical edge, regional compute, and military data centers within an integrated military C5I environment. The research addresses the engineering problem of maintaining mission information advantage when physical infrastructure, optical transport, IP/MPLS connectivity, compute, data, cybersecurity, and operational services become dynamically constrained. The proposed method combines systems engineering, dependency modeling, quantitative resilience metrics, AI-assisted analytics, and controlled degradation/reconfiguration. To support reproducibility, the manuscript defines a synthetic 2026 experiment model, explicit assumptions, baselines, sensitivity analysis, and a laboratory validation pathway. The study is deliberately structured so that synthetic results can later be replaced by measured testbed results without changing the research architecture.

The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.
