Sm2O3 confinement of gold nanoclusters for the sensitive fluorescence detection of triclopyr.
Abstract
In this study, a novel fluorescent sensor (MUA-AuNCs@Sm2O3) was constructed by confining gold nanoclusters within Sm2O3 and employed for the detection of the organophosphorus pesticide triclopyr. The probe interacted with triclopyr through a combination of static quenching and dynamic quenching, which led to fluorescence quenching. Based on the change in fluorescence intensity, the sensitive detection of triclopyr was achieved in the range of 2.5-140.0 µg L-1 with a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.82 µg L-1. The probe was successfully used for the detection of triclopyr in soil, tea, and spinach samples, and the accuracy was assessed through recovery experiments. All results verified the excellent practicability and reliability of the constructed fluorescent sensor. This study offers a promising alternative approach for the rapid and portable detection of pesticides in practical samples.
