Enhanced Decision-Making Techniques Using Single-Valued Neutrosophic Set for Assessing the Teaching Quality of University Ethnic Music Education
Abstract
In the implementation of music teaching in colleges and universities, it is essential to deepen students' understanding of ethnic music culture, help them recognize the significance of its inheritance and development, and enhance their sense of national pride and cultural confidence. The teaching quality evaluation in ethnic music education at universities can be treated as a multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problem. In this paper, the authors extend the Evaluation Based on Distance from Average Solution (EDAS) method to single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs) and propose a novel approach called single-valued neutrosophic number EDAS (SVNN-EDAS) based on cosine similarity measure for solving complicated MAGDM problems. The Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation method determines attribute weights in the single-valued neutrosophic environment based on cosine similarity measure. The authors also use a practical example related to the evaluation of university teaching quality in ethnic music education to verify the practicability and effectiveness of the proposed SVNN-EDAS method.
