Abstract

This systematic literature review, conducted in line with the PRISMA framework, reviews recent developments in innovative leadership in educational contexts from 2020 to 2025. An extensive search of major academic databases, including Google Scholar and Scopus, was conducted using tailored keywords related to educational leadership and innovation. A strict screening process identified 50 peer-reviewed articles that met predefined inclusion criteria, which were subsequently synthesized and thematically analyzed. The review encompasses studies on leadership styles, including transformational, participative, and change management approaches, that promote organizational agility and academic achievement. It highlights the core competencies and theoretical frameworks that facilitate effective innovative leadership. The findings aim to inform policymakers, practitioners, and researchers by offering actionable implications in formulating resilient, forward-looking institutions that can ensure sustained development amid rapid technological and societal advancements.
