Abstract

To improve fuel-supply continuity and coordinated protection in civil aircraft fuel systems, this paper presents an integrated control architecture for fuel boost pumps based on a Frequency Regulation Controller (FRC). Cockpit commands, fuel-computer references, sensor feedback, and hardware protection signals are coordinated within a single platform so that start authorization, frequency regulation, and protective cutoff follow one explicit priority chain. A compact plant model and a multi-source start-stop inhibition logic are established for model-in-the-loop validation of the proposed four-state control strategy. The validation results show that the scheme supports stable pressure build-up, low-level shutdown, and emergency override of ordinary inhibition while keeping hardware protection dominant. The proposed scheme, therefore, provides a concise basis for control-software design and verification planning.
