Abstract

<jats:p> In this paper, we prove that if <jats:italic>H</jats:italic> is a subgroup of a finite solvable group <jats:italic>G</jats:italic> , then <jats:italic>H</jats:italic> has order at most <jats:inline-formula> <jats:alternatives> <jats:tex-math>$$|V|^{a}/\sqrt{6}$$</jats:tex-math> <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:mrow> <mml:msup> <mml:mrow> <mml:mo>|</mml:mo> <mml:mi>V</mml:mi> <mml:mo>|</mml:mo> </mml:mrow> <mml:mi>a</mml:mi> </mml:msup> <mml:mo>/</mml:mo> <mml:msqrt> <mml:mn>6</mml:mn> </mml:msqrt> </mml:mrow> </mml:math> </jats:alternatives> </jats:inline-formula> if <jats:italic>V</jats:italic> is a faithful and completely reducible <jats:italic>G</jats:italic> -module and <jats:italic>H</jats:italic> has abelian Sylow 2-subgroups, where <jats:inline-formula> <jats:alternatives> <jats:tex-math>$$a=\frac{3\ln 6}{4\ln 2}$$</jats:tex-math> <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:mrow> <mml:mi>a</mml:mi> <mml:mo>=</mml:mo> <mml:mfrac> <mml:mrow> <mml:mn>3</mml:mn> <mml:mo>ln</mml:mo> <mml:mn>6</mml:mn> </mml:mrow> <mml:mrow> <mml:mn>4</mml:mn> <mml:mo>ln</mml:mo> <mml:mn>2</mml:mn> </mml:mrow> </mml:mfrac> </mml:mrow> </mml:math> </jats:alternatives> </jats:inline-formula> . Furthermore, we establish a similar bound under the additional condition that <jats:inline-formula> <jats:alternatives> <jats:tex-math>$$2\not \mid |V|$$</jats:tex-math> <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"> <mml:mrow> <mml:mn>2</mml:mn> <mml:mo>∤</mml:mo> <mml:mo>|</mml:mo> <mml:mi>V</mml:mi> <mml:mo>|</mml:mo> </mml:mrow> </mml:math> </jats:alternatives> </jats:inline-formula> . </jats:p>
