Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the religious values and traditions found in three representative legends from Banten Province: The Origin of Tanjung Lesung (Pandeglang Regency), The History of Cisoka (Tangerang Regency), and The Tale of Nyai Geulis (Lebak Regency), as a foundation for developing literary teaching materials at the senior high school level. The main problem underlying this study is the fading understanding among young people of the philosophical values contained in local legends, as well as the limited availability of innovative teaching materials capable of integrating local wisdom with digital technology. Using a qualitative method with Lucien Goldmann’s genetic structuralism approach, this study examines the relationship between the structure of the literary works and the worldview of Banten society. The findings show a coherence of religious values in the form of the law of cause and effect (metaphysical sanction) and the power of supplication (munajat) as a means of resolving conflict. Traditional values were found through the toponymic function that represents respect for nature as well as a culture of communal deliberation. These findings were then implemented in the design of an interactive E-Module prototype based on local wisdom. This transmedia adaptation is expected to serve as a means of revitalizing cultural identity as well as an instrument for strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile in a way that is adaptive to the changing times.
