Digitalization of the economy of energy enterprises as a factor in improving energy resource efficiency and energy conservation
Abstract
The article examines the impact of digital transformation processes on the level of energy resource efficiency and energy conservation in the power sector. The relevance of transitioning to the “Industry 4.0” paradigm and the “Internet of Energy” concept as a key condition for overcoming the technological and economic challenges facing the industry is substantiated. The authors conducted a comparative analysis of traditional and digital business models of energy companies and identified mechanisms for reducing technical and commercial losses through the implementation of smart metering systems (Smart Grid), the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and predictive analytics based on artificial intelligence. The architecture of a digital ecosystem for an energy enterprise has been proposed, and a system of key performance indicators (KPIs) has been developed, integrating the technical, economic, environmental, and social (ESG) aspects of energy conservation. Special attention is paid to the problems of transforming corporate culture and developing human resources in the context of digitalization. The research results can be used in developing digital development strategies and energy efficiency improvement programs for entities in the power sector.
