Madurez digital en empresas de base tecnológica en Sinaloa, México: un análisis sectorial
Abstract
Digital transformation, driven by the digital revolution and globalization, has become a strategic factor for companies, which must adapt to global technological advances to remain competitive. This process, however, has revealed a digital divide in the labor market, where opportunities vary depending on the skills and specialization of workers. Knowledge-intensive and technology-based companies demand highly qualified profiles, redefining employment and compensation dynamics. The objective of this research is to evaluate the influence of digital transformation on technology-based companies in Sinaloa and their strategies focused on competitively integrating into Industry 4.0 on their workers' compensation. The study, with a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive approach, involved the administration of an online questionnaire between November 2022 and March 2023 to 41 managers of companies that use Industry 4.0 technologies in Sinaloa. The data collected were analyzed using the specialized statistical software SPSS. The results show that most of these companies have reached advanced levels of digital leadership, and that specialized digital skills are associated with higher salaries compared to less-skilled profiles. This study provides empirical evidence from a little-explored regional perspective, highlighting the need for public policies and educational programs that strengthen digital skills and promote inclusive development in the Sinaloa economy.
