Dynamic Power Allocation with Successive Interference Cancellation for NOMA Systems under Imperfect CSI
Abstract
The future generations of wireless communication networks will be benefitted by employing the highly sophisticated non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA). It is expected to increase spectral efficiency and connectivity between the users. The paper highlights the downlink NOMA system and its performance in imperfect CSI scenarios.. It concentrates on the impact of errors in CSI and residual interference due to imperfect successive interference cancellation on the system’s Performance .An α-fairness-based dynamic power allocation is used in association with dynamic SIC to mitigate these effects,The users' instantaneous received power determines the decoding order. This approach aims to ensure fairness among users, enhance efficiency, and maintain decoding reliability within practical system constraints.A Monte Carlo simulation is used to conduct a thorough analysis of system behavior at multiple transmission power levels and with varying degrees of Channel State Information (CSI) inaccuracy. A set of key performance metrics, Some of the metrics that can be measured include the total data rate, the probability of outage, and the Jain's fairness index.are evaluated. The results reveal that the application of the SIC algorithm dynamically leads to substantial improvements in fairness between users and ensures more consistent behavior than conventional static ranking procedures, particularly in scenarios where there are channel estimation errors. In conclusion, these findings prove that the proposed solution is effective and appropriate for implementing NOMA in downlink wireless communication systems.
