Abstract

This study aims to map the development of research on Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) during the 2018–2024 period using a bibliometric approach. Research data were collected from the Scopus database through a literature selection process based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, resulting in 316 publications that met the inclusion criteria. Publication metadata were analyzed using VOSviewer through co-occurrence, overlay visualization, density visualization, and co-authorship network analyses to identify publication trends, thematic developments, and scientific collaboration patterns. The findings indicate that SAP-related publications remained relatively stable with moderate fluctuations, increasing from 42 publications in 2018 to a peak of 53 publications in 2022. The keyword network structure highlights SAP, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and enterprise systems as core themes interconnected with digital transformation, cloud computing, process mining, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and SAP S/4HANA. Temporal analysis reveals a shift in research focus from conventional ERP implementation toward the development of enterprise systems increasingly integrated with digital technologies and data-driven capabilities. Furthermore, the co-authorship analysis demonstrates the emergence of international collaboration networks involving researchers from various countries in advancing SAP-related studies. Overall, the results provide a comprehensive overview of the evolution of SAP research and identify promising directions for future studies in the era of digital transformation.

Modern Karate Technology Landscape: Bibliometric Mapping and Literature Network Visualization Based on Scopus Database 2000-2025

Objectives. The current landscape of karate technology is beginning to mature, marked by an abundance of recent studies. Previous analyses have primarily focused on original investigations, and mapping research trends in karate through bibliometric analysis has not received adequate attention. Therefore, this study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis of research trends in karate technology through the Scopus database for the period 2000–2025. Materials and Methods. Data were collected using specific Boolean keywords in the Scopus database. A total of 122 RIS-format documents were retrieved and filtered using the Mendeley application, then visualized using the VOSviewer and Biblioshiny applications. Results. (1) Literature development, where productivity increased during 2021–2025, while journal citations tended to fluctuate. (2) Journal performance, where the most productive journals were in applied sciences, engineering, and several sports-related fields. (3) Author productivity, where the most active researchers published 10–13 articles, with the highest citation counts ranging from 109 to 134. (4) Geographic distribution and collaboration patterns, where Poland and Indonesia were the leading contributors to SCP and MCP, although overall international collaboration was not optimal. (5) Popular keyword trends, where the dominant cluster focused on artificial intelligence, deep learning, and sensors, comprising 40 keywords, while the use of virtual reality and augmented reality has also become increasingly common. Conclusions. Although some aspects have improved, further research and technological development are needed, along with increased demand in this area and stronger international collaboration. Modern karate requires both the implementation and continuous improvement of technology to optimize learning and athletic performance.

Human resource information systems research in transition: A global bibliometric mapping of knowledge, collaboration, and future direction

This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the intellectual and thematic evolution of human resource information systems (HRIS) research within the context of digital transformation. Despite its growing strategic importance, HRIS literature remains fragmented across theoretical, methodological, and geographical dimensions. This study seeks to map the structural dynamics, emerging themes, and future research trajectories shaping the field. A bibliometric and science mapping approach was employed using data extracted from 303 peer-reviewed articles (1990–2025) indexed in the Scopus database. The analysis utilized VOSviewer and Biblioshiny (R Bibliometrix) to examine publication performance, co-authorship networks, citation patterns, and keyword co-occurrences, offering an evidence-based assessment of the intellectual landscape of HRIS research. Results reveal the transition of HRIS from a technology-centric system to a strategic and human-centered digital capability, emphasizing themes such as digital transformation, HR analytics, employee trust, and organizational agility. The study identifies key theoretical clusters, influential authors, and global collaboration patterns while exposing persistent gaps related to conceptual integration, methodological diversity, and regional representation. The findings provide valuable insights for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to strengthen theoretical coherence, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and enhance HRIS-driven digital capability within organizations. This study is among the first to offer a global, longitudinal bibliometric synthesis of HRIS research, presenting an integrative framework that links technological innovation, strategic human resource management, and knowledge-based organizational development.

Mapping Sustainable Business Research from 2015 to 2025 Using Bibliometric Analysis

This study provides a bibliometric overview of sustainable business research published between 2015 and 2025. Bibliographic data were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection and included English-language articles and review articles. Following data screening and cleaning, 4,317 publications were retained for analysis. Performance indicators were combined with science mapping techniques using VOSviewer to examine publication growth, influential contributors, international collaboration, thematic structure, and emerging research topics. Scientific production increased continuously from 128 publications in 2015 to 831 publications in 2025, with nearly seventy percent of the documents published during the final five years of the period. China recorded the largest publication output, while England displayed the strongest overall international collaboration. The country co-authorship network included 51 countries organized into five clusters. Keyword co-occurrence analysis identified 260 terms grouped into five interconnected thematic clusters addressing organizational performance, corporate responsibility and governance, technological transformation, sustainable business model innovation, and organizational capabilities. The temporal analysis revealed growing attention to environmental, social, and governance practices, disclosure, digital transformation, dynamic capabilities, and small and medium-sized enterprises. The findings demonstrate that sustainable business has developed into a rapidly expanding and internationally connected research field that increasingly integrates strategic, technological, environmental, and organizational perspectives.

A Thematic and Bibliometric Analysis of Trends and Future Directions in Integrated Reporting Research Landscape

The study was conducted in the form of bibliometric analysis to analyse the trends and findings of the research landscape on integrated reporting. There were 679 Scopus indexed scholarly articles were published between 2012 to 2026 has been considered for the analysis for this study. SPAR-4 SLR framework has been adopted for the study and R-Biblioshiny is employed to generate and visualize the citation matrix and bibliometric network and VOSviewer is used for the additional analysis network. VOSviewer and additional analysis were also undertaken. The trend of publications on integrated reporting has significantly increased every year, especially in 2020, where 87 publications were made, hitting an annual publication growth rate of 8 percent. The results of the analysis revealed that the highest research productivity is concentrated in Australia, and Meditari Accountancy Research as the most productive journal with highest influence. An article with 650 global citations was published in Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal making it the most influential article. Based on the co-occurrence network, the intensity of research on integrated reporting were consistently high during 2022–2025 indicating sustained research activity and continued academic engagement. Italy ranks first with 7,000 citations, demonstrating the highest scholarly impact and Maroun W emerged as the most prolific author with 22 publications. This study provides useful insights for future integrated reporting. This study provides significant contribution for the researchers of Integrated reporting literature. In particular, the findings allow new researchers to quickly identify the theoretical underpinnings, as the leading researchers and documents identified in this study provide an entry point for new researchers.

Trends and Evolution of Digital Accounting Research: A Bibliometric Analysis Using VOSviewer

This study aims to map the development and trends in digital accounting and digital transformation research through bibliometric analysis. Data were retrieved from the Scopus database covering the period 2007–2025 and analyzed using VOSviewer software. After a screening process, 233 journal articles were selected and examined to review publication trends, subject-area distribution, author collaboration, and keyword mapping. The findings reveal a significant surge in publications since 2020, with major contributions from Business, Management & Accounting (20.3%) and Computer Science (20%), followed by Social Sciences, Economics, and Engineering. Keyword analysis identified seven main clusters: digital transformation, artificial intelligence, blockchain, digital literacy, accounting analytics, gender, and ERP/cloud systems. The results highlight the multidisciplinary nature of digital accounting research and its growing relevance in supporting transparency, efficiency, and innovation in business. This study contributes by proposing a roadmap for global research, offering guidance for academics, practitioners, and policymakers, while suggesting directions for future studies.

Mapping the global development of pawnshop research: A bibliometric analysis of scopus-indexed publications

Background: Pawnshop is a key non-bank financial service providing short-term liquidity for communities with limited access to formal banking. Along with economic uncertainty and social vulnerability, academic studies on pawnshops have developed rapidly across various disciplines. This study aims to map and analyze the global development of pawnshop research, identify major thematic structures, and examine the multidisciplinary nature of the literature. Methods: This study employs a bibliometric approach using secondary data obtained from the Scopus database covering publications from 2016 to 2025. A total of 59 relevant articles were analyzed using bibliometric techniques, including publication trend analysis, country and institutional contributions, funding sources, subject areas, and keyword co-occurrence analysis supported by network, overlay, and density visualizations. Findings: The results show that pawnshop research has grown steadily and is highly multidisciplinary, involving social sciences, economics, business, health, and policy studies. Keyword co-occurrence analysis reveals five main thematic clusters: alternative financial services and microfinance, social behavior, risk and criminality, sensitive regulation related to public safety, and sharia-based pawnshops. Furthermore, pawnshop research focuses on risk-oriented and regulatory issues toward financial inclusion, ethical finance, eco-social welfare, and socially responsive pawnshop models. These findings demonstrate a strong relationship between theoretical perspectives on financial inclusion and social vulnerability with the empirical development of pawnshop research. Conclusion: This study concludes that pawnshop is a complex socio-economic phenomenon vital for fostering community resilience, sustainability, and eco-social welfare, which must be understood through an integrated and multidisciplinary perspective. The bibliometric mapping provides a comprehensive overview of the state of the art and highlights future research directions in non-bank financial services. Novelty/Originality of this article: This article offers a comprehensive bibliometric synthesis of global pawnshop research by integrating thematic structures, research dynamics, and multidisciplinary perspectives, providing a holistic understanding that has not been systematically explored in previous studies.
