TEJAMKORLIK – O‘ZBEK TILI QURILISHINING BOSH XUSUSIYATI
Abstract
The article examines the main structural features of the Uzbek language based on the linguophilosophical views of W. von Humboldt, the founder of theoretical linguistics, as well as L. Weisgerber, G. Zikrillayev, and other scholars. The study scientifically refutes the concept established in Soviet linguistics that "affixes in agglutinative languages are exclusively monosemantic, whereas in inflectional languages they are polysemantic." Through practical examples, it demonstrates that the verb root in Uzbek, even in its zero form, is capable of expressing both lexical meanings and a wide range of grammatical and communicative (predicative) meanings. The article substantiates that the principle of economy is the main structural feature of the Uzbek language.
