Intrasellar Cavernous Malformations: Two Case reports with A Systematic Review of Clinical Features, Surgical Management, and Outcomes.

BACKGROUND Intrasellar cavernous malformations (ICMs) are rare vascular lesions that frequently mimic pituitary adenomas, creating major diagnostic and surgical challenges. Their marked vascularity confers a substantial risk of intraoperative hemorrhage. This systematic review evaluated the clinical presentation, manag...

Clinical course and surgical outcomes of cerebral cavernous malformations: Insights from a large single-center experience

Introduction Clinical decision-making for cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs) requires balancing hemorrhage risk against surgery-related morbidity, yet clinically applicable risk stratification remains limited. Research question To examine hemorrhage during recorded follow-up, postoperative complications, and funct...

Extracranial Trigeminal Schwannomas: A Systematic Review of Surgical Outcomes, Anatomical Distribution, and the Evidence Gap in Radiotherapy.

Extracranial trigeminal schwannomas are rare benign nerve sheath tumors whose management remains challenging due to anatomical complexity and limited high-quality evidence. This systematic review characterized their clinical presentation, anatomical distribution, and treatment outcomes, and assessed the availability of...

The Effect of Gamma Knife in the Size and Rate of Bleeding in Cavernous Malformation

Background: Cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs) are vascular lesions that may cause recurrent intracranial hemorrhage and neurological deficits. Gamma Knife radiosurgery (GKRS) is a minimally invasive treatment option for lesions located in deep or eloquent brain regions where microsurgical resection is associated...
