Abstract
Paragangliomas and phaeochromocytomas, recently reclassified to unify the disease as extra-adrenal and intra-adrenal paragangliomas, are rare neuroendocrine tumours. These tumours have an exceptionally strong hereditary component, with up to 40% of cases being driven by germline mutations in susceptibility genes; therefore, a cornerstone of modern PPGL care is the genotype-first approach, which heavily dictates initial assessment, surgical strategy, and follow-up. In recent years, the clinical landscape has evolved rapidly, leading to the publication of more than ten new consensus statements since 2022. This review article highlights some of these major paradigm shifts including i) a transition towards genotype-tailored clinical management, ii) specialized paediatric diagnostic and management protocols, iii) updated histopathological criteria, iv) the use of advanced targeted therapeutics, and v) the integration of novel predictive tools.
Optimizing the diagnosis of glomus tumors necessitates a clear distinction between two principal nosological entities. The true glomus tumor (glоmangioma) is pathognomonically associated with intense paroxysmal pain. In contrast, paraganglioma (chemodectoma) most frequently presents with compression of adjacent structu...

Pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas (PPGL) are rare and heterogeneous neuroendocrine tumors for which therapeutic options remain limited, particularly in the metastatic or progressive setting. Radioligand therapy (RLT) has emerged as a promising strategy, leveraging tumor-specific molecular targets to deliver cytotoxi...

Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is a heterogeneous group of malignancies that originates in the biliary epithelium and is anatomically classified into intrahepatic (iCCA) and extrahepatic (eCCA) subtypes. These tumors often progress silently and are associated with a poor prognosis, limiting the opportunities for timely inter...

BACKGROUND
Head and neck tumors cross several clinical specialties. Diagnostic and treatment approaches vary significantly depending on specialty, and there is no a unified diagnostic standard for paragangliomas in these areas. In this report, we summarize available data on these tumors and present own patient evaluati...

Our knowledge of the genomic landscape of hidradenocarcinoma (HACa), a rare, malignant sweat gland tumour that can arise de novo or from its benign counterpart, hidradenoma (HA), remains uncertain, and distinguishing between them can sometimes be challenging, as they can both present with conventional, clear cell or po...
