Jet production has been studied extensively in heavy-ion collisions to measure its modification in the presence of the quark–gluon plasma. Several recent measurements performed by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC are highlighted, including studies of the jet suppression as a function of jet radius and jet substructure. Additionally, results of the search for jet-induced wake are presented.

The ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider performs a broad heavy-ion physics programme aimed at studying strongly interacting matter at extreme energy density, as well as probing QCD and electroweak phenomena in nuclear environments. This contribution presents an overview of recent ATLAS results obtained in hea...

We compare our previous predictions for charged-hadron production in p-O collisions at an energy of TeV as published in 2025 with preliminary Run 3 data from ALICE and adapt the model parameters to the data. Our three-source model comprises a gluon-gluon central source and two valence-quark soft-gluon fragmentation sou...

Since the discovery of large elliptic flow at RHIC in the early 2000s, relativistic hydrodynamics has become a central framework for quantitative studies of the quark--gluon plasma (QGP). In parallel, increasingly sophisticated analyses have improved constraints on the initial state and the transport properties of the...
Hadron production, including pions, kaons and antiprotons, in proton-proton collisions at an energy of 7 TeV at the ALICE facility has been studied. For the data analysis, a generalised parton model was used, which takes into account the interaction of two partons in colliding beams and the production of new particles....

Prompt-photon production with recoiling QCD radiation is crucial for new-physics searches, determinations of parton distribution and fragmentation functions, and jet-quenching studies in heavy-ion collisions. We present the first fully differential NNLO QCD predictions for photon-associated identified-hadron production...

We combine inclusive jet nuclear modification factors with energy-energy correlators to perform a data-driven extraction of the quark and gluon quenching factors and the medium resolution scale from the small-angle region. Taking coherent energy loss as a null hypothesis, we find jet quenching factors incompatible with...
