Abstract

Protecting biodiversity depends not only on safeguarding isolated habitats, but on how landscapes are managed as connected systems that support both people and nature. The LANDPATHS team, led by Associate Professor Malgorzata Blicharska at Uppsala University, is exploring how governance, citizen participation and land-use strategies can promote resilient multifunctional landscapes.
