Abstract
Formamidinium-rich lead-halide perovskites combine strong optical absorption with low-temperature solution processing, but limited electrical conductivity can hinder charge extraction in optoelectronic devices. We investigate a composite approach in which hollow tungsten disulfide (WS2) nanotubes synthesized by a high-temperature vapor-gas-solid reaction are dispersed throughout Cs0.1FA0.9PbI2.9Br0.1 perovskite films. The nanotubes and composite films were examined by electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction, UV-visible spectroscopy, impedance spectroscopy, and conductive atomic-force microscopy. At an optimal WS2-nanotube concentration of 0.1mg mL-1, the perovskite retains its cubic photoactive phase and essentially unchanged optical response, while the dark conductivity increases by approximately two orders of magnitude. Conductive-AFM measurements independently show an approximately 2.5-fold increase in local current. Lower nanotube concentrations produce little measurable effect, whereas higher concentrations lead to aggregation and poorer film homogeneity. The results support a picture in which monocrystalline WS2 nanotubes create extended charge-transport pathways and favorable heterointerfaces without compromising light absorption, providing a practical route toward improved charge extraction in perovskite optoelectronic structures.
Mixed halide perovskite single crystals (MHPSCs) have attracted considerable attention as promising building blocks for next-generation photovoltaic technologies due to their exceptional optoelectronic properties, low fabrication cost, and facile processability. However, their practical implementation remains limited b...

Lead-free layered hybrid double perovskites (LHDPs) promise stable, non-toxic optoelectronic devices, but operating these materials in applications with a direct semiconductor/water interface remains a challenge. We show that a bulky, hydrophobic naphthalene diimide dication spacer (NDI-dH2+) in (NDI-dH)2AgBiI8 yields...

Halide perovskites have attracted great attention for optoelectronic applications owing to their high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), tunable bandgap, and simple processing. However, poor stability and defect-induced nonradiative recombination hinder their practical use in perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLE...

High wall-plug efficiency (WPE) and long-term operational stability are major hurdles for perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) toward low-power practical applications. This work presents high-WPE PeLEDs utilizing in situ fabricated weakly confined perovskite nanocrystal films with boosted stability. Reducing the p...

Improvements to the radiative efficiency of halide perovskite thin films are necessary to approach fundamental solar cell performance limits. We tailored perovskite crystallization by leveraging the eutectic interaction between zinc bromide and methylammonium chloride additives. The resulting films had high photolumine...
