Abstract

Site: https://is.gd/gritsenko “All men by nature desire to know.” (πάντες ἄνθρωποι τοῦ εἰδέναι ὀρέγονται φύσει) — Aristotle, Metaphysics, Book I, 980a21 GeoSite is a personal professional information resource that brings together the results of the author’s many years of scientific, methodological, software, and technological work in seismic exploration, seismic data processing and interpretation, imaging of the geological medium, and inverse-problem solving. The site was created as a single access point to published books, monographs, individual chapters, scientific articles, preprints, educational materials, synthetic data sets, and documentation for the CubeTechnology software and technology system. A substantial portion of the site materials is openly available on international scientific and publishing platforms: CERN — Zenodo, ResearchGate GmbH (Germany) — ResearchGate, and CALAMEO SAS (France) — Calaméo; GeoSite brings these publications together into a single thematically organized system. A special place is occupied by works devoted to the development of methods for seismic imaging and estimation of geological-medium parameters, multifocusing, seismic-stratigraphic stacking, migration and demigration, depth tomography, diffraction-component extraction, and the solution of the inverse dynamic problem in a viscoelastic medium. A separate area of the site is devoted to the development and evolution of the CubeTechnology system, which has been created and refined for more than three decades. The site presents materials on the system’s purpose, architecture, principal technologies, user interface, practical installation, and operation. GeoSite also contains materials on the application of artificial intelligence in scientific research, including the author’s dialogues with contemporary artificial-intelligence models on the methodology of science, inverse problems, and the characteristics of machine reasoning. The site serves not only as an archive but also as a professional presentation resource. In particular, it contains materials intended to familiarize publishers with the second English-language edition of the book Subsurface Image and Parameter Estimation in Seismic Exploration, including the publication proposal and analytical materials concerning the book’s contents. GeoSite has Russian, English, and Chinese versions. The language can be switched directly at the top of the page. Keywords: GeoSite; seismic exploration; seismic imaging; seismic data processing and interpretation; CubeTechnology; multifocusing; seismic-stratigraphic stacking; migration and demigration; depth tomography; inverse problems; viscoelastic medium; artificial intelligence in scientific research; scientific publications; digital scientific archive; proposal for publishers.

The impact of agile practices on communication in software development

The study shows that agile practices improve both informal and formal communication, but indicates that, in larger development situations involving multiple external stakeholders, a mismatch of adequate communication mechanisms can sometimes even hinder the communication.

Trajectory Balance: Improved Credit Assignment in GFlowNets

It is proved that any global minimizer of the trajectory balance objective can define a policy that samples exactly from the target distribution, and empirically demonstrate the benefits of the trajectories balance objective for GFlowNet convergence, diversity of generated samples, and robustness to long action sequenc...
