THE ROLE OF LEFT VENTRICULAR REMODELING IN THE PROGRESSION OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES (LITERATURE REVIEW)
Abstract
Arterial hypertension leads to left ventricular remodeling. Elevated blood pressure causes myocardial thickening and the development of hypertrophy. Concentric hypertrophy negatively affects cardiac function and increases cardiovascular risk. Arterial hypertension is a major risk factor for the development of ischemic heart disease and post-infarction remodeling.
