Genome mining identified biosynthetic gene clusters associated with the production of secondary metabolites, such as bacillibactin and fengycin-like compounds, associated with the production of secondary metabolites, such as bacillibactin and fengycin-like compounds.
Abstract
ABSTRACT Bacillus paranthracis S23 was isolated from saline soil of Lake Bogoria. Its draft genome, generated using Illumina HiSeq sequencing, comprises 5,583,771 bp across 205 contigs and contains 5,741 predicted protein-coding genes. Genome mining identified biosynthetic gene clusters associated with the production of secondary metabolites, such as bacillibactin and fengycin-like compounds.
ABSTRACT We present the draft genome sequence of Oceanobacillus sp. strain M60 isolated from soil collected in a conserved area of Sipadan Island, Sabah, Malaysia. It consists of 18 contigs totaling 4,590,102 bp, with a predicted total of 4,302 protein-coding genes, 6 rRNA genes, and 50 tRNA genes.

ABSTRACT We report the draft genomes of halophilic Sutcliffiella and Halalkalibacterium strains isolated from hypersaline alkaline sediments of the Sua Pan salt flat in the Makgadikgadi Basin, Botswana. These sequences enable investigation of the biosynthetic potential and secondary metabolite systems of organisms from...

The draft genome of Bacillus altitudinis MSH-24 isolated from rhizosphere soil of Nypa fruticans in Bangladesh is reported, revealing genes associated with possible iron acquisition, stress tolerance, sporulation, and germination, highlighting the strain’s environmental adaptability and metabolic versatility.
ABSTRACT Brevibacillus borstelensis strain BB2 was isolated from a soil sample collected in the Cochamó Valley, Chile. The draft genome comprises 187 contigs totaling 5.25 Mb with a guanine–cytosine (GC) content of 51.7%. Sequencing on an MGI DNBSeq-G400 platform generated 3,406,660 paired-end reads, providing approxim...
