Pregnancy outcomes following gonadotropin-induced ovulation in women with Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism are evaluated and compared with those observed in women with unexplained infertility (UI), while also examining clinical variables associated with treatment success.
Abstract
Objective: Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (HH) represents an uncommon cause of anovulatory infertility, characterized by inadequate gonadotropin secretion or an impaired pituitary response to gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). The present study evaluated pregnancy outcomes following gonadotropin-induced ovulation in women with HH and compared these outcomes with those observed in women with unexplained infertility (UI), while also examining clinical variables associated with treatment success.Materials and Methods: This retrospective comparative study evaluated ovulation induction cycles in women with HH and in a comparison group of women with UI who were treated at a tertiary infertility center between 2010 and 2020. All patients underwent gonadotropin-based ovulation induction followed by intrauterine insemination. Treatment characteristics and reproductive outcomes were compared between groups, and clinical variables associated with achieving pregnancy and cycle cancellation were analyzed. Results: The two groups were comparable with respect to age, body mass index, total progressive motile sperm count, and infertility type (p>0.05). Women with HH required higher initial and total gonadotropin doses and had longer stimulation periods (p
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder in women of reproductive age and an important cause of anovulatory infertility. Although clomiphene citrate (CC) has traditionally been used for ovulation induction, letrozole is increasingly preferred because of its favorable effects on ovulation and its...

Gonadotrophin releasing hormone agonist is as effective as human chorionic gonadotrophin in triggering ovulation and achieving pregnancy in PCOS patients, with the added clinical advantage of eliminating the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.
Congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (CHH) is a clinical syndrome characterised by low levels of gonadotropins due to impaired secretion of GnRH. It is a rare cause of infertility in females and managing such cases becomes a challenge at times. We present 4 cases of CHH cases who were managed in our centre and had...

OBJECTIVE
Excess body weight is associated with subfertility and delayed conception, yet its effect on in vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes in women with preserved ovarian reserve remains uncertain. This study examined the impact of overweight and obesity on IVF outcomes.

Background Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) is a common endocrine disorder and a leading cause of anovulatory infertility. In women with PMOS, controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) often results in heterogeneous responses, with many oocytes of poor quality and lower fertilization rates. The combined use o...
